The Work at Height and Rescue elements of this course are aimed at personnel who use work at height equipment in the execution of their duties, who have responsibility for at-height operations or who may oversee the rescue/recovery of a casualty.

The course will introduce the principles and equipment involved in work at height systems and, through a combination of classroom and practical work, the process of a safe and systematic approach to working at height operations. The course also identifies the requirements for emergency and rescue planning as part of the risk assessment process.

The confined space elements of the course are designed to ensure that all personnel who are liable to be exposed to working in a confined space/vessel have a thorough understanding of the potential hazards of confined spaces/vessel entry, and to enable delegates to undertake their jobs in such areas safely.
